    True story

Every morning I look forward to reading The Toronto Star that is tossed onto my rural driveway wrapped in a plastic bag by a carrier from nearby Orillia. It usually arrives, come snow, rain or sunshine before 7AM.

It is printed in Toronto, about 70 miles away and is delivered to Orillia and other areas north of the city by truck.

About 10 days ago we had a predicted heavy snowfall warning and as expected, we had accumulated about 10 inches of snow.

I looked out the window and could not see the paper. I assumed that it was buried under the snow, donned my snow boots and shuffled through the snow expecting to find it with no luck.

I was disappointed but realized that you cannot fight Mother Nature and again assumed that the delivery truck was prevented from reaching Orilia by dangerous highway conditions.

A little later in the day,my son who lives nearby kindly came over and used my snow blower to clean the driveway but did not make we aware of it.

A few days ago when talking to my neighbor, who has a real droll sense of humor, said to me. "We got your newspaper the other day. It was shredded all over our driveway"

Our son has now sheep fully admitted that he had done this but thought he had picked most of it up.

I think the whole situation is hilarious and hope that you find it amusing

    That is funny! Laughing

My hubby has to have his morning paper and we have very good delivery, barring a bad storm when no one should be on the road.
The delivery person puts it in our mailbox as we are on a rural route for now. That may change before long as we keep reading about community boxes that may be coming to this area.
    I hope not.
