    This sounds like a simple and delicious recipe.

    3 large apples
    1/3 cup granulated sugar
    1/4 cup brandy
    1 cup each, milk and light cream
    3 eggs
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    Pinch of salt
    1 tsp vanilla
    Icing sugar

    Peel apples, core and cut in half lengthwise. Thinly slice crosswise and arrange attractively, overlapping in rows in well-buttered 6-cup (1.5L) shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with 2 Tbsp. (25mL) of the sugar. Bake in 375*F (190*C) oven for 10 min.; remove from oven. Sprinkle with brandy, let cool.

    In a blender or food processor, blend milk, cream, eggs, flour, cinnamon and salt for 2 min. Add remaining sugar and vanilla; blend for a few seconds. Pour over apples and bake @ 375*F (190*C) for 45 min. or until well puffed and golden. (Clafouti will fall upon cooling.) Serve barely warm sprinkled with icing sugar.

    I have printed that recipe out Islandgrl.
    I have all ingredients except the brandy, will try it without brandy and see how it turns out.
    It sounds good and I like simple recipes.

    Islandgrl, Just want to let you know I made the Apple dessert and we tried it while still warm. It was good and does not take much sugar so that is a bonus.
    Instead of brandy I used orange juice but I think brandy would have made it even tastier.

    It looked delicious when I took it out of the oven, it was just lightly browned.
