Do you collect and use coupons? I don't usually but I get given/clip the odd one if I need the product.

I was listening to a radio program on the weekend and this lady phoned in and said she uses them and spends hours online visiting the stores to see what coupons they offer. She liked Walmart. I still have to find the time to see what is offered by Walmart weekly.

I use coupons when they are for an item I want and use. I don't see any point in using them to buy things I don't need or like.
I don't spend time online looking for them but some come in the mail with advertisement flyers.

I wish I could get the patience to do it, probably save me a bundle of money. I need to sit down with the wife and try it.

I do use coupons whenever they are available to me and if they are for a product that I need, but I don't buy just for the sake of having a coupon.

Recently, it came to my mind (maybe power of suggestion from something I'd heard)....but some of these coupons could be well worthwhile using ...even for products one does not need, and then one could donate the extra...(eg. buy one get one free....etc) ....to the Food Banks.
I plan to be more cognizant of coupons for that purpose.

I don't think that coupons are as readily available as they once were and I don't really have the patience to spend the time searching for them. I prefer instead to take advantage of certain "discount" days where they offer a percentage off of a large selection of goods - eg. Seniors Days (at drug stores), Tax Free weekends on non food items at the Superstore supermarket, etc.

I read somewhere that coupons for food are very scarce in Canada but in the US manufacturers are more generous. I do take advantage of half price sales and any bargains on items that I use regularly.

When my children were young I was a coupon freak and still am. As a matter of fact my job is sorting and mailing coupons for a grocery store.

You can save a ton of money by using them and combining those efforts with money back rebates when they are available. Sometimes you wind up with items free and even some you make a profit of the coupon savings. By this I mean....you use the coupon to purchase the item....on the cash ticket it rings up full price then that is the amount you will earn back. They paid you to buy their product!
